〔本報訊〕馬來西亞航空MH-17班機昨驚傳遭飛彈擊中，墜毀後機上295人全數死亡，是911事件以來，史上最嚴重空難。離奇的是，1996年7月17日，環球航空TWA800班機也發生空難，當時有230人罹難，且事故原因迄今未明。

馬航MH-17班機台灣時間昨晚10時許失聯，隨後傳出被飛彈擊中，導致295人死亡，事故原因仍須調查。比照航空史上空難，18年前的環球航空TWA800班機也失事，日期同為7月17日。
據了解，1996年7月17日，環球航空TWA800班機上有212名乘客、18名機組人員，起飛12分鐘後疑在大西洋上空爆炸解體，機上人員全數墜海罹難，且迄今事故原因仍是謎。各界曾傳，該起事故為恐怖攻擊，但因證據不足，最終無定論。
編號、機齡、事故時間都和17有關
特別的是，兩起重大空難相隔18年，都是7月17日，恐怖巧合傳聞不脛而走。另有一說，MH-17班機編號17、機齡是17年、事故時間17日，「17」也成詭譎數字。
