影星羅賓威廉斯今晨陳屍加州自宅，死因疑似是自殺。他在續集電影「博物館驚魂夜3」有演出，預計年底才上映，但已成遺作。
美國警方今天表示，曾獲奧斯卡金像獎肯定的男星羅賓威廉斯（Robin Williams）今天疑因自殺陳屍北加州自宅，享壽63歲。羅賓威廉斯的媒體公關布克斯包姆（Mara Buxbaum）也證實，羅賓威廉斯頗長一段時間深受憂鬱症所苦。
羅賓威廉斯1951年出生於芝加哥，早期在美國廣播公司喜劇影集「Mork And Mindy」演出，這部影集也讓他拿下1978年金球獎喜劇類電視影集最佳男主角。
台灣觀眾認識他的作品則從「早安越南」開始，他也以這部獲1987年金球獎影帝，劇中以詼諧的方式詮釋越南戰爭、諷刺了當時的新聞審查制度，羅賓威廉斯飾演一位美軍電台的主持人，在片中大部分的播報內容都是即興創作，「早安越南」更被列入AFI百年百大喜劇電影之中。
接著則是「春風化雨」，片中他飾演一名傳統學校老師，用反傳統的方法來教學生們詩歌、文學、生活的故事，這部也是羅賓威廉斯的經典之作，在1980年代也成為許多學校會放映給學生看的電影，尤其羅賓威廉斯給人的形象很正面，很激勵人心。
「窈窕奶爸」羅賓威廉斯則扮演成一名60歲的老婦，應徵保母要貼身照顧兒女；「野蠻遊戲」劇情驚險刺激，讓台灣觀眾印象深刻。
到了1997年他和麥特戴蒙演出的「心靈捕手」，片中他飾演一名教授，幫麥特戴蒙打開心房，找回自我與愛情，羅賓威廉斯更以這部片拿下奧斯卡最佳男配角獎。
不過從2000年後，羅賓威廉斯演出的「機器管家」、「美國詐炮」，都曾被提名金酸莓獎最差男主角、男配角；2006年則是在「博物館驚魂夜」演出，原本預定要在12月於美國上映的「博物館驚魂夜3」，預告片都已經推出，片中羅賓威廉斯扮演羅斯福總統，可惜這部歡樂電影未上映已成為他的遺作。
