"Please stop!", Pope Francis makes plea for peace 「

Pope Francis made an emotional plea for peace on Sunday in an impromptu addition to comments delivered at his weekly Angelus address in Saint Peter’s Square.

As the Argentinian-born pontiff wrapped up his regular address to the faithful, he spoke of the upcoming centenary of the outbreak of World War One and said his thoughts were on the Middle East, Iraq and Ukraine in particular.

With his voice appearing to crack with emotion, the pope broke off from his scripted remarks to make a direct appeal for fighting to end. "Please stop! I ask you with all my heart, it’s time to stop. Stop, please!"

While he made no direct reference to the situation in the Gaza Strip, the comments came after a humanitarian truce broke down on Sunday with the resumption of fighting in which more than 1,000 people, mostly civilians including dozens of children, have been killed.

"Brothers and sisters, never war, never war! I am thinking above all of children, who are deprived of the hope of a worthwhile life, of a future," he said. "Dead children, injured children, mutilated children, orphaned children, children whose toys are things left over from war, children who can’t smile any more," he said.(Reuters)

Believe in God, trust in God

Believe in God, trust in God
In do not know the road ahead, I chose to pray and completely entrusted. I do not know what I'm about to go to the unit. But I know that if I am willing to pay the full path of the future in the hands of God, then the anxiety and irritability in mind, will reduce many of the. As a start I was asked to go to what unit of time, I really do not know where to go. I only replied: [I want to pray, Lord Jesus, led by the Lord Jesus arrangements. If someone approached me and told me to go, I think this should be the Lord's arrangement of it! ]
In general people listen to, and I'm weird. Mind would think, "You are not who people dry it must find you ah." But I know if it is God's arrangement, God will give me a sign, like the biblical prophet Elijah live in an environment no rain for three years six months, God let him see a Xiaoyun, he had faith that god would rain down a. So when someone asked if I would go XX plant when there is so little of my heart touched, I thought it was God gave me the sign it? After discussion with his wife and prayer. I know this is God's arrangement. While this among some difficulties, twists and turns. But I believe that if the arrangement, God blessed God. Finally, will the achievements of this thing. Finally, even if things are not, as I hope, I also believe that God is the best arrangement. Because I know that You are omniscient, You are omnipotent. Even if the final arrangement is not what I want, I also believe that God's arrangement is best for me. The blessing of God, maketh rich, and he adds no worries.

French hospital to open wine bar to cheer up terminally ill

A hospital in the French city of Clermont-Ferrand is to open a wine bar where terminally ill patients will be able to enjoy a "medically-supervised" glass or two with their families.

"Why should we refuse the charms of the soil to those at the end of their lives? Nothing justifies such an prohibition," the Clermont-Ferrand University Hospital Center said in statement. The center’s head, Dr. Virginie Guastella, said terminally ill patients had the right to "enjoy themselves".

The bar will be the first in France to offer such a facility for patients and their families. Staff will be specially trained before it opens in the hospital’s palliative care center in September.

"Medically supervised tastings will help brighten what is often a difficult daily life," the hospital said.

Although some researchers have long held that an antioxidant found in red wine is good for the heart, some recent research has determined that wine’s health benefits are exaggerated. (Reuters)

Former Brazilian national midfielder Arouca, was doing a sideline TV interview a few months ago when opposing fans began to chant "monkey, monkey, monkey." Those taunting hit him with another jab: Go to Africa and find a team. Get out of here.

President Dilma Rousseff, who has pledged a "World Cup without racism," tweeted quickly: "It is unacceptable that Brazil, the country with the largest black population after Nigeria, has racism issues." It does, and Brazilians are slowly waking up to it.

"The Brazilian form of racism is worse than apartheid because it works on the basis of deception," said Elisa Larkin Nascimento, director of the Afro-Brazilian Studies and Research Institute in Rio. "The biggest leap was to get the society to talk about racism and realize that, in fact, it does exist in Brazil."

Brazil’s present World Cup team is made up of 90 percent black or mixed-race players, though Brazilian fans attending World Cup matches are predominantly white. Much of the game is still closed to the black and poor. Most have been priced out of many of the 12 World Cup stadiums, built or renovated at a cost of $4 billion _ 80 percent public money.
